The basics

I want to start off by welcoming you to this journey.  Taking this step is an important part in many steps to come.  I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with experience in working with people of various ages, backgrounds and mental health concerns.  I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Rutgers University.  I earned my Masters in Social Work from Rutgers School of Social Work in 2012.

How I work

My passion is to support individuals in connecting to their own strengths. Getting in touch with these areas is how we best make the improvements needed to live a life more desired. In the various seasons of life, there are inner tools that we can tap into. I view therapy as a way to unlock and access those tools. I treat anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues and anger. I support people needing techniques to cope with life transitions and difficult stages that they may find themselves in.

Using a solutions focused approach in combination with mindfulness, acceptance, CBT and a strengths based perspective, I help individuals tackle difficult emotions, tough issues and learn to reshape their outlook on life. In my work with any client, my hope is that they are able to become better connected with their full self in order to get to the place of healing that they are looking for.

A little more about me...

As a kid, I was always described as being very observant.  I think my curiosity about people is what lead me to this field.  I've just always  wanted to understand people better and in turn help them understand themselves.  Outside of the therapy space, you will tend to find me spending time outdoors or in nature.  I love spending time at the Jersey shore during the summer or taking nature walks in the cooler months.  I enjoy escaping in a good book or with good music.
